Let The Nurse Know If Your Child Has:
1. A life threatening or new serious allergy
2. A serious injury or illness requiring hospitalization
3. A diagnosed head concussion
4. An injury that requires a cast, sutures, splint or mobility assistance such as crutches or a wheelchair
5. Vision or hearing difficulties
6. A new medication required during school hours or change in current dosage
7. Any chronic or acute illness
8. Exposure to a communicable disease such as strep throat, chicken pox, conjunctivitis

When Do I Need To Keep My Child At Home?
- Fever of 100 degrees or more. DO NOT RETURN until the child is fever free WITHOUT FEVER REDUCING MEDICATION for 24 hours.
- Diarrhea or vomiting
- Severe coughing or difficulty breathing
- Colds with a thick or constant nasal drainage especially if the drainage is yellow or green.
- Head injury or confirmed concussion.
- Rash of unknown origin especially if accompanied by a fever.
- Conjunctivitis (pink eye), tinea (ring worm), impetigo, strep or staph infections...these are all infections and must be treated for a minimum of 24 hours before returning to school.
- Inadequately immunized with a known disease outbreak at school
